The Bowling Partner Version 2.0
Written by Dave Berthiaume
Oct,1987
The Bowling Partner will keep track of bowling league statistics, allow you to
edit them, and to print them out. The program is written in GFA, and should be
run in med-rez. You should have 2 files in order to properly use it:
BOWLING2.BAS - The Main Program
BOWLING.DAT - Data File
* I M P O R T A N T ! ! *
MAKE SURE YOU CREATE A "BOWLING" FOLDER AND PLACE BOTH FILES INSIDE!
MAIN MENU:
There are 4 options from the main menu:
Create File - Will erase any existing data file (if any) and create a new data
file. You will be asked to enter certain information on every bowler in the
league. Don't worry if you make a mistake- you can edit the file later. Every
bowler will be assigned a number for easier access to their stats, but this
number has nothing to do with rank, team, etc.
Print File - Will give a team-by-team printout (to printer) of everybody's
individual stats, as well as the team average for every team in the league.
Modify File - Allows you to easily edit any stat you choose. You will be asked
for a number representing the bowler you want to edit, so refer to your
printout to see everybody's assigned number. After you've entered the bowler's
number, the edit screen will appear. Click on the appropriate box, and just
follow the prompts. Any lower-case characters will be automatically converted
to upper-case.
Exit! - Exits to desktop. Always exit the program in this manner, or you may
lose your data!
COMMENTS:
I have included a short data file of my own, but if you create your own, this
will be erased.
There is not a lot of error-trapping incorporated as of yet.
If you have any comments or questions, leave me mail on any of these (612) area
